Professional Licensure and Certification
The institution supports credentials that carry weight with federal customers and that remain valuable to the individual regardless of employer. Support covers preparation, examination cost, and the time required, subject to the approval process below.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, including FE examination and the experience documentation that precedes it
- INCOSE systems engineering certification — ASEP, CSEP, and progression toward ESEP
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and scheduling credentials such as PMI-SP
- Cost engineering and earned value credentials, including AACE International certification and earned value professional certification
- Quality credentials — ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Reliability Engineer
- Acquisition and contracting coursework of the type defined in the Defense Acquisition University curriculum
- Safety and radiation protection training appropriate to laboratory and energetic system work
Graduate Study and Tuition Support
Advanced degrees in propulsion, nuclear engineering, systems engineering, materials, and applied physics are supported where the field of study connects to institutional direction. Support is structured as an investment with terms stated in writing before enrollment, not as an open-ended entitlement.

Approval and Funding Process
Development spending is planned, reviewed, and charged consistently. Employees are told what is approved and what it costs the institution, because cost transparency inside the organization is the same discipline the institution applies to a contract.

Recertification and Currency
A credential that lapses is a credential the institution cannot cite. Continuing education units, recertification cycles, and required refresh training are tracked so that lapses are prevented rather than discovered.
